It took Elijah 16 months and 10 days to finally do it, but he did it. He is finally walking. I think he is discovering that it is more fun to walk around than scrap his chunky knees because he's actually choosing to walk to different places. I couldn't be any happier. I was getting a lot of looks from people here in Mexico. I swear, it's like they have never seen a kid his size before. Plenty of people would stare and make comments about how BIG he was (like I couldn't hear them or something). And the nice ones, would come up to me and make conversation about his size and then squeeze his juicy legs. I might miss carrying him all over the place, the Ergo was the biggest blessing in my life and by far would recommend above all other carriers, but I think I will get over it quickly. He might actually return to a "normal" kid size. He has chosen to go vegetarian on me lately. He thinks most meats are disgusting. So, if he's vegetarian and walking, that can only equal skinny Elijah. Only time will tell.

It was fun to see you guys on Skype the other day. We need to get that here. Savanna and Eva could keep each other entertained all day. Who knows, maybe they could even fight ONLINE!
Too cute. I love that wobbly first baby walk. Hailee didn't walk until 14 months or so. I remember trying to get her to walk and she just had no interest.
Go Elijah. In defense of the people staring in Mexico they just might not have ever seen a baby the size of Elijah.
So cute! Once he started he really took off. I love chubby little Elijah. He has the cutest personality ever - such a happy baby!
