When I was in college, my girlfriends and I always tried to perfect Matthew's mom's chocolate chip cookies. I am sad to say that we could never do it. We came close a couple times but it was never the right consistency. I know that everybody prefers their chocolate chip cookie a certain way, but these are definitely some of the best I have ever had. Well, I am not the first to tell you that I am not a baker. Chef, maybe, but not a baker. I just don't have the patience. However, believe it or not, Matthew has the most patience when it comes to making sweets. He is really good at it. And, I thought it was about time that I share how beautiful and delicious his cookies turn out. I don't know how he does it but he does it real well. Eva and I love it when he makes us cookies!

Sorry, Kat, I had to delete the old blog with your comment because my picture wouldn't show up. But, you are right they are the best :)
Oh my gosh! I had 3 or 4 of them today! I did share with the girls...I'm so sorry for my lack of self control. They were AMAZING!!! And so was that homemade pistachio ice cream. You really should stop paying me to eat your food and play with your toys :)
Those. Look. Amazing. I can't believe Mandee got to eat 4!!!
All my roommates fell in love with the cookies too! Maybe us Powell kids are just good at making our moms recipe...I dont know but those ones look delish :)
Way to go Mathew!! We'll have to come visit soon, and maybe Nathan and I will get lucky enough to experience them!
I don't know what happened to my cookie making skills but I stink at it - definitely did not inherit anything from my mom in that category. Yep, everytime she comes to visit we have her make cookies like, letsee...everyday!!! Infact, I still have some of her frozen cookie dough in the freezer that I'm slowly using because I want to make it last as long as possible! Scott is the cookie-maker in our family.
